For many occasional users the price of fixed roof racks is prohibitive - enter the soft rack!
The problem is most soft racks are terrible, they flex to much, their foot print is too small, the stitching and quality of the straps, buckles and materials is so poor that when you try to tighten your surf board or kayak to the roof you end up damaging the racks or your vehicle. Iv'e even seen their straps sewn in back to front making it virtually impossible to get any tension on the straps!
Solution in their usual manner looked at the need for a decent quality item and got on with making something that actually works.
The stiffener board on the bottom of the large foot print pad spreads the load and reduces flex across the soft rack making your load more secure and your car better protected.
They then added their top quality straps and loops to complete a great product.
